Linking Policy

Contributors may include one contextually relevant link to their own website in their author bio. We do not accept paid link insertions within article body text. Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a payment for contributions?

At this stage, CritiqueHQ offers contributor compensation in the form of a bylined article, an author bio with a dofollow backlink, and inclusion in a growing editorial platform. Paid contributions may be introduced in the future as the platform scales.

How long should my article be?

A minimum of 1,500 words for reviews and comparisons. Best-of listicles and guides benefit from 1,800 to 2,500 words. We prioritise depth and usefulness over raw word count – do not pad articles simply to reach a number.

Can I republish my article elsewhere after it is published on CritiqueHQ?

No. By submitting an article for publication, you grant CritiqueHQ exclusive first publication rights. You may share a link to the published article and reference it in your portfolio, but you may not republish the full text elsewhere without our written permission.

Will you edit my article before publishing?

Yes. Our editorial team may make light edits for grammar, style, and formatting consistency. Any substantive changes will be shared with you before publication.

How long does the review process take?

We aim to respond to all submissions within 5 to 7 business days. During high-volume periods, this may extend to 10 business days. We respond to every genuine submission – if you have not heard from us after 10 days, please follow up.
